I just finished my Great Smoky Mountains Photo Workshop last week. We had a great trip. Every time I visit the Smoky Mountains we have some surprises.
The Great Smoky Mountains is always beautiful. For the landscape photographers there is a endless list of great things to photograph. April is the height of spring. There is a wide variety of flowers in bloom, the streams, rivers, and waterfalls are overflowing, the dogwoods are in bloom. There are also a large variety of historic structures to photograph. It was fun photographing all of those things and more.
The wildlife put on a show for us. We had over 20 Black Bear sightings. My participants got several frame filling images of several different bears. We also had some very cooperative Pileated Woodpeckers. The group also photographed some White Tailed Deer and Elk.
We had a fun group we spend some time doing photo critiques, learning some post processing techniques, and I did a slide show.
I lead photo workshops and tours to the Smokies in April and October. I hope you can join us. Have a great day.
