Bear Cancellation Policy
We appreciate your interest in Slonina Photography Tours. Our priority is to provide excellent service to our valued customers. In the event of a reservation cancellation, please note that a cancellation fee will be applied, which varies based on the proximity to the departure date.
Regarding the Alaska Bear Photo Tour, we have implemented a more rigorous cancellation policy. This particular expedition entails significant upfront expenses and financial liabilities for our company. We have partnered with one of the finest lodges in the world to ensure an exceptional experience for our participants.
If you cancel 180 days or more prior to the start date of the trip
You will be given a full refund minus a $300 processing fee.
Processing Fee
We now have a $300 processing fee because the banks charge a processing fee for each credit card payment we receive. If we provide a refund we lose that amount. We also have to refill that spot by advertising through social media, website changes, and ads. It is very time consuming and can possibly cost us even more money.
If you cancel between 120 and 180 days prior to the start date of the trip
We will retain your deposit but we will return any additional money that you have paid.
If you cancel less than 120 days prior to the start date of the trip
There is no refund.
Photo tours require an enormous amount of work, advertising and prepaying expenses that are not refundable which occurs long before the start date of the trip. It is really difficult to fill a spot within a few months of the start date of the trip. We have a waitlist but the closer we get to the trip it becomes more difficult to fill the spot.
Please get trip insurance to protect yourself.
We strongly advise all customers to purchase traveler’s insurance.
We recommend that all customers consider obtaining traveler's insurance to safeguard themselves against unexpected disruptions, such as accidents, family emergencies, medical illnesses, terrorist attacks, acts of God, natural disasters (e.g., fires, earthquakes, hurricanes), or any unforeseen circumstances that may arise.
Please note that we cannot assume responsibility for cancellations resulting from
medical emergencies or any of the aforementioned occurrences.
John Slonina or Slonina Photography is not responsible for additional costs that may be incurred by such delays or cancellations.
